More than 300 artists, dozens of venues, local bands, dancers, poets, street painters, filmmakers and performers will gather for ArtWalk Ventura a free, family-friendly celebration of creativity, Sept. 26-27.

Festival times will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

The festival stretches from Downtown Main Street to Ventura Avenue, connecting the Museum of Ventura County, the new Vita Arts campus at Garden & Main, Art City, Working Artists Ventura, and the Bell Arts Factory.

Festival maps and signage will be available.

Visitors can enjoy live entertainment on two stages — one at the Albinger Archaeological Museum across from Mission Park and another at California and Main — featuring local bands, theater groups, and dance performances.

Among the highlights are cutting-edge films at CineFest at the Downtown Century 10 theaters; poets at the Museum of Ventura County Pavilion; street painting, live art and pottery demonstrations; large-scale art installations; a children’s activity area; and a neighborhood art and car show.

To get to ArtWalk, Gold Coast Transit is providing free bus service.

“ArtWalk Ventura brings together neighborhoods, businesses, artists and arts organizations in a vibrant, two-day celebration of Ventura’s creative spirit. Produced entirely by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, this beloved annual event welcomes everyone,” organizers said.
