Nonprofit organizations in Santa Barbara County are invited to apply for a grant of up to $1,500 through the Montecito Rotary Foundation’s 2020 Community Grants Program.

Funded by bequests and ongoing contributions from members of the Rotary Club, past grants have contributed to maintaining historical sites, supporting social service and cultural organizations, and preserving the local environment.

Individual grants range from $1,000-$1,500. Applicants must be registered as 501(c)(3) organizations, and preference is given to entities or projects that serve the Montecito area specifically.

Grants may only fund future projects, not those that have already been completed, and cannot be used for capital projects or to provide general operating support. Application deadline is Sept. 15.

A member of the Rotary Club of Montecito must sponsor each grant request and be personally engaged in some capacity with the organization. This could be as a volunteer, donor, committee member or board member.
