UCSB Arts & Lectures presents the acclaimed trio I’m With Her, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at UCSB Campbell Hall.

I’m With Her, featuring Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins, takes the stage with a new collection of songs exploring ancestry, change and the ties that bind us, according to A&L.

Known for their luminous harmonies and masterful storytelling, the group behind “Call My Name,” the 2020 Grammy winner for Best American Roots Song, brings a deepening sense of creative connection to their new album Wild and Clear and Blue (May 2025), organizers said.

“With voices that intertwine in meticulous, multifaceted arrangements, they deliver a performance full of heart, harmony and soul,” organizers said.

“Ancient Evenings” from their album “Wild and Clear and Blue” won 2025 Song of the Year at the Americana Music Association Honors in Nashville on Sept. 10.

Opener Jon Muq blends Afropop with American folk, rock and soul.

With the 2014 formation of I’m With Her, singer-songwriters Jarosz, O’Donovan and Watkins introduced a new force into the world of folk music: a close-knit alliance of highly esteemed musicians, each graced with a deep understanding of folk tradition and unbridled passion for expanding its possibilities.

Since delivering debut “See You Around” and standalone singles like “Call My Name” (winner of the 2020 Grammy for Best American Roots Song), the trio has routinely taken time out from their individual careers to dream up songs together, eventually arriving at a new album exploring themes of ancestry, lineage and the collective human experience.

All multi-Grammy-winners with deep roots in the folk scene, Watkins, Jarosz and O’Donovan discovered their chemistry during a performance at the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, then co-founded I’m With Her, and began touring and performing at festivals worldwide.

Tickets to I’m With Her are $44-$59, general public and $15 for UCSB students with current student ID.
