A Royal Suite Home Furnishings is coming to Santa Barbara’s State Street sometime this spring.
The furniture store is set to take over the site of the former CVS Pharmacy at 1109 State St. That site has been empty since CVS left in November 2024.
The store already has posters at the storefront and announced its impending arrival on Instagram.
The retail chain sells a mixture of furniture and other essentials for living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. It also has shops open in Oxnard and Santa Clarita.
The exact opening date has not yet been announced.
Sauna Comes to Rincon Beach
Third Space Sauna will host members of the public at Rincon Beach on Friday and Saturday as it prepares to launch its new Carpinteria location.
The mobile sauna business has been operating out of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, where it offers saunas and cold plunges, since early 2026. The company is now expanding to Rincon Beach County Park, where people can enjoy a sauna and a swim in the ocean.
Community members can go to Rincon Beach to meet the company’s owners, Joey McGuinness and Eli Pearlman.

“We started Third Space to create a place where people can gather and connect,” McGuinness said in a press release.
“Our dream was to make the Pacific Ocean part of that vision. Locals, surfers, a commuter catching a break between SB and Ventura — our mission is to keep this accessible to everyone. Come experience the beach and the ocean in a new way,” he added.
Residents will be able to book times on Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There is no cost for the event, but residents are encouraged to reserve a spot here.
The company intends to launch weekly experiences at the location a week after the soft launch. The weekly sessions will be held between Thursday and Saturday.
Target at Home
Target’s next-day delivery service is now available to Santa Barbara residents.
The service will let shoppers purchase up to 85% of the store’s total products at home and have them delivered by the next day if the order is placed by 6 p.m.
The service is free for orders totaling more than $35. The minimum for next-day delivery is waived for Target Circle 360 members and Target Circle cardholders.
