Bagels, baby.

Mother Dough Bagels plans to hold a soft opening Saturday for its new shop at 604 Santa Barbara St. in Santa Barbara.

“We’ve been heads down, putting all our love and energy into getting the shop ready, which is why it’s been quiet around here,” the owners said in an Instagram post. “But the wait is almost over — Mother Dough is getting ready to roll.”

The new restaurant is set to open from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The restaurant Barbareño will serve slow-smoked tri-tip and grilled avocados on top of the Mother Dough sourdough bagels. Coastal Coffee Collective will brew free coffee and miso caramel lattes.

“We can’t wait to welcome you into our new space and share this exciting moment with you,” the owners said.

Kyle’s Kitchen in downtown Santa Barbara is closing.

Jay Ferro, the owner of the restaurant, told Noozhawk that he is looking for a space with more foot traffic.

“We have been and continue to actively look to relocate to a new location in Santa Barbara and hope that something materializes soon,” Ferro said.

His two other locations are still open, on Calle Real and in the Hollister Village Shopping Center, both in Goleta.

“The Santa Barbara community, in the meantime, can still get Kyle’s Kitchen from DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats,” Ferro said.

The Santa Barbara location, at 791 Chapala St., is across the street from Paseo Nuevo mall, which receives more foot traffic around California Pizza Kitchen, Eureka!, Panda Express and retail shops.
