CalCoast Glass Tinting, Inc. in Santa Barbara is celebrating its 35th annivesary serving clients from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles with window films since 1987.

In 2022 CalCoast Glass Tinting has completed three buildings in Santa Barbara, for Google, with a 3M Safety and Security film. The film applied onto exterior glass panes is designed to prevent any forceable entry from unwanted intruders, bomb blast, or unforseen natural disater.

Another top client of CalCoast Glass Tinting is biotechnology giant Amgen, Inc. Amgen was established in Thousand Oaks in 1980. CalCoast Glass Tinting has used the latest technology of the Casper Cloaking on five of Amgen’s buildings in Thousand Oaks, and is currently finishing one in San Francisco.

As an Elite Premier Dealer of 3M, CalCoast Glass tinting clients extend into high end-residential markets. The 3M Prestige film protects furnishings, floors and artwork with its almost transparent film with a 99.9% UV protection.

The 3M Prestige film also helps to reject 50% of the total solar energy coming in the windows, thus making a smaller footprint on the eco system, and reducing the HVAC load, CalCoast Glass Tinting said.

Procore Technologies, based in Carpinteria, sought out CalCoast Glass Tinting to help with the glare and heat issues in a few of its buildings. “We successfully applied the 3M Solar film on two of the five buildings to mitigate the heat and intense sun,” CalCoast Glass Tinting said.

Calcoast Glass Tinting has also been active in the Santa Barbara community with the 3M application of anti-graffiti film.

“We apply this to the exterior windows of the retail businesses to protect the large windows from being damaged by unwanted taggers,” the company said. “We recently finished the Santa Barbara North County Jail with a privacy film on all the cells. This was a recent addition after the 2021 privacy Act went into place.”
