Book Signing – Deep Dive: 365 Words

Thursday, July 17, 2025 6 PM
Chaucer’s Books (3321 State Street) hosts local authors Jane Asher Reaney (On the left in the photo) and Barbara Urbonas for a book talk and signing of Deep Dive: 365 Words.
Description
Deep Dive 365 Words began as a sacred project between two best friends in the wake of Barbara’s cancer diagnosis—a commitment to transform pain into presence, fear into awareness. Each day, for 365 days, they chose a single word and let it guide their writing, like a lantern through darkness. What emerged was more than just a practice—it was a path to healing, a widening of consciousness, and a bond deepened by truth, vulnerability, and love.
About the Authors
Jane Asher Reaney is an author, podcaster, and longtime radio personality with a love for stories and sound. She got her start spinning records and stirring up airwaves at Santa Barbara’s iconic rock station KTYD in her twenties. These days, she calls San Diego home, where she writes, records, and lets curiosity lead the way—one word at a time.
Barbara Jansen Urbonas After a full career as a Speech/ Language Pathologist, Barbara Urbonas retired briefly before resuming her passion for music, acting, and most recently co-writing Deep Dive 365 Words with her best friend Jane. This writing project was born out of a need for clarification and transformation after a third journey with breast cancer began. A longtime proponent of Science Mind and New Thought she lives in Santa Barbara with husband Saulius, daughter Nijole, and boundlessly energetic Golden Retriever Mochi.
