Rep. Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, will be the undergraduate commencement speaker at California Lutheran University on May 17. She will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree during the ceremony, at which 592 bachelor’s degrees will be awarded to graduating seniors.

Later that day, Moorpark College president Eva Conrad will be the graduate commencement speaker at a ceremony honoring the 383 students receiving master’s degrees and the nine candidates for doctoral degrees. Conrad will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.

Both ceremonies will be held in Mount Clef Stadium on the Cal Lutheran campus, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. The undergraduate ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. May 17, and the graduate ceremony follows at 2 p.m.
