Community members and partners, as well as elected officials, are invited to attend and commemorate the opening of a development that will provide stable housing and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness, HASBARCO officials said.

Scheduled speakers include Rep. Salud Carbajal, Assemblymember Gregg Hart, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Laura Capps, and representatives from Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limón’s Office and HASBARCO.

Patterson Point residents will share their experiences and the impact that permanent supportive housing can have on individual lives and the broader community, organizers said.

“Patterson Point represents another step in HASBARCO’s ongoing commitment to addressing homelessness and expanding affordable housing opportunities throughout Santa Barbara County,” officials said.

The development consists of studio apartments designed to provide safe, stable housing for formerly homeless individuals, along with supportive amenities that help residents maintain long-term housing stability.

The community includes a community room, kitchen, laundry facilities, and access to supportive services.

“Projects like Patterson Point are the result of strong partnerships among local, state, and federal leaders who recognize the importance of creating housing solutions for our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Bernie Baggarly, HASBARCO public information coordinator.

“This development will provide residents with a place to call home and the resources they need to thrive., Baggarly said.
