As part of its celebratory 75th anniversary season, the Choral Society, in collaboration with the Music Academy, will host a Concert and Gala Party, 6:30 p.m. March 31 at Hahn Hall, featuring acclaimed a cappella group Voctave.

Formed in 2015, Voctave is an 11-member ensemble based in Central Florida, known for its vocal arrangements, often featuring a five-octave range.

With roots in musical theater, Voctave members have performed worldwide and can be heard on numerous recordings

With multiple No. 1 songs and albums on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify, Voctave has also ranked in the top 25 on Billboard Magazine charts and received more than 150 million views on their videos.

“We are thrilled to bring Voctave to the Music Academy’s Hahn Hall for its Santa Barbara debut appearance,” said Jo Anne Wasserman, Choral Society artistic director/conductor.

“The Choral Society will join Voctave onstage for two pieces arranged by Voctave founder Jayme Ray, including a world premiere in honor of the occasion,” said Wasserman, who this year marks her 30th season with the Choral Society.

Following the concert, the Choral Society’s annual fundraising gala will be held in adjacent Lehmann Hall.
