Nicole Virgil, practitioner of Christian Science healing and public speaker, will present a talk titled Be Set Free, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Franklin Neighborhood Center, 1136 E. Montecito St., Santa Barbara.
The free lecture, sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Santa Barbara, will focus on universal healing principals found in the Bible, especially in Jesus’ life and teachings.
“Circumstances often present what appear to be significant obstacles to living freely, something that everyone wants to do,” Virgil says. “In this talk, we will examine liberty from a biblical perspective; and see how real people today find their freedom from all kinds of physical, emotional, and circumstantial restrictions that seem clearly beyond their control.”
Virgil will also talk about the life of Mary Baker Eddy, founder of the Christian Science movement. Virgil is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
