Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast will offer Christmas Hope in partnership with Vida Church, an initiative designed to provide uncooked holiday meals for the unhoused and families in need.

Christmas Hope will take place at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 at Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast, 1207 N. McClelland St., Santa Maria.

The event’s goal is to bridge the gap for families and unhoused during the holiday season.

“We hope to raise awareness around our cities tremendous need in partnership with surrounding organizations. It will feature a surprise visit from Santa,” organizers said.

“We are incredibly excited about Christmas Hope and believe it will provide that beacon of light necessary to our community in need,” said Luke Johnson, director of Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast. “This initiative is a core piece of our identity.

“Not only do we aim to see breakthrough in the lives of our men and women dealing with addiction, but also in the lives of our neighbors.”
