Santa Maria residents are invited to the first College Square Trick-or-Treat, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
The free, family-friendly event will offer an evening of trick-or-treating, activities, giveaways and Halloween fun among the businesses in College Square.
“The event was created to bring families together for a fun community celebration while
encouraging visitors to explore and discover the businesses throughout College Square,” organizers said.
Participating businesses will welcome trick-or-treaters with candy and swag, with some businesses also offering special promotions.
Families can begin the evening in the courtyard, where children can pick up a College Square Trick-or-Treat Passport, participate in Halloween crafts and activities, then make their way around the center.
Kids can collect check marks from participating Passport businesses, and return
completed Passports to the courtyard for a chance to win prizes donated by College Square
tenants.
Giveaway donors include Wingstop, Jamba and Apricot Lane Boutique, with Me-N-
Ed’s Pizzeria and Craft House sponsoring the drink station.
“We want this to be more than just a place for kids to collect candy,” said Krissy Arnal of
Events by Krissy LLC. “The goal is to create a fun, free community event that encourages families to walk through College Square, meet the businesses that are here, and hopefully discover a few places they’ll come back to visit.”
The College Square Trick-or-Treat is hosted by College Square, which is managed by Westar
Associates.
