The community is invited to get crafty and creative at the Lompoc Public Library with free events for children and teens through Nov. 1.
The Lompoc Public Library, 501 E. North Ave., is offering a Halloween crafting program for children and families on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 3-4:30 p.m.
There will be a photo booth, and participants can have their picture taken with a Polaroid camera and decorate a photo frame. Other crafts will include decorating a paper bag for trick-or-treating, and jewelry-making.
The crafts will be suitable for a variety of ages, so the whole family can participate. Costumes are optional. Adults must accompany children ages 8 and younger.
For teens, the Lompoc Public Library is offering a Dia de los Muertos skull-decorating program, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. All supplies will be provided. This craft program is for teens in middle school and high school only.
All Lompoc library locations will close at 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.
