The Plant Fire in the Cuyama Valley was 75% contained as of Monday evening, with rainy weather helping the firefighting efforts.

There was no noticeable fire growth from Sunday to Monday, according to an incident update from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and CalFire. 

Eight outbuildings were destroyed in the fire, and no homes or other structures have been destroyed or damaged.

There have been no civilian or firefighter injuries reported in the blaze.  

The fire has burned over 5,464 acres since it started around 1:25 p.m. Saturday. The cause is still under investigation. 

The fire burned in the area of Aliso Canyon Road and Foothill Road, which is 5 miles west of Highway 166, according to fire officials. Crews are reportedly hiking four to five hours at the south end of the fire in order to construct a control line with hand tools. 

Highway 166 is open in both directions and evacuations for the fire were lifted on Sunday.
