Village Properties Pizza/Ice Cream Party to Benefit the Teacher’s Fund
Village Properties will host its first Back-to-School Supplies Drive with the nonprofit Teacher’s Fund this summer, to kick off the new school year and raise funds for classroom enrichment education in Santa Barbara.
The online drive will run Sept. 16-Oct. 4 and will culminate with a benefit pizza party and ice cream social hosted by Village Properties and benefiting local teachers.
The throwback grade school-inspired event will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Village Properties’ Santa Barbara courtyard. Price for event tickets is a recommended donation of $15 per person or $25 for two. Teachers and children are admitted free.
The party will feature Rori’s Artisanal Creamery Cart, pizza from Woodstock’s, face-painting, raffle prizes, lawn games, entertainment from local band Jason Campbell and The Drive, and a photobooth. Sponsorships also are being sought at various levels from $300-$5,000.
Village Properties created the Teacher’s Fund in 2002 to give back to the community. The nonprofit fund raises money for Santa Barbara-area teachers to enhance the classroom experience by buying additional supplies, materials and equipment for extra classroom activities not covered by school budgets.
The online School Supplies Drive is being co-chaired by Village Properties owner Renee Grubb and Realtor Brianna Johnson, who works for the company.
