Police arrested two adults and one juvenile on Thursday in the cities of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Camarillo in connection with the Feb. 20 fatal shooting of a 29-year-old Santa Barbara man at Bohnett Park.
Commander Brian Miller of the Santa Barbara City Police Department identified the two adults as 18-year-old Jimmy Alexander Mora Jr. of Ventura and 19-year-old Jorge Hurtado of Camarillo.
Mora Jr. and Hurtado were both booked on suspicion of first-degree murder with special circumstances, attempted murder, conspiracy, and several weapons-related charges.
The juvenile’s name and age were not released.
They were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for the benefit of a criminal street gang, conspiracy, and weapons-related charges.

Emergency crews first responded to Bohnett Park on San Pascual Street on Santa Barbara’s Westside at around 1:31 a.m. on Feb. 20 and found a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.
He was later identified by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau as Luis Gerardo Terrazas.
Santa Barbara County District Attorney John Savrnoch at the time confirmed to Noozhawk that Terrazas was one of three men facing charges related to the Aug. 1, 2025, stabbing death of Michael Bisquera Hartley, 30, on State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara.

Miller said detectives identified “multiple suspects believed to be involved” in Terrazas’ death and arrested them in coordination with the Ventura Police Department, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office.
“The coordinated effort resulted in the successful apprehension of the identified suspects without significant incident,” Miller said.
He said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Santa Barbara Police Department.
