The Dos Pueblos girls lacrosse team lost its season opener against Oak Park, 16-6, on Tuesday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.

The game marked the debut of Anais Jimenez as coach of the Chargers. Jimenez was a standout player at Santa Barbara High and played collegiately at Colorado State-Pueblo.

Seniors Avery Ball and Lauren Elliott each scored two goals to lead DP. Hannah Martin and Reagan Arnold added one apiece. 

On the defensive end, Elliott contributed three caused turnovers and goalie Maddie Nees made 14 saves.
