The class of 2023 walked onto the field of Scott O’Leary Stadium on Thursday to the sounds of “Pomp and Circumstance” played by the Dos Pueblos High School Band.
The graduation ceremony included student speakers, remarks by DPHS Principal Bill Woodard, and performances by the school’s Jazz Choir and orchestra.

Student speakers included graduating seniors Jacqueline Rodriguez Ramirez, Edo Barel (ASB President), Diego Diaz, Noe Piña Duarte, and Graciela Fuentes (Senior Class President).
School district officials helping hand out diplomas included Superintendent Hilda Maldonado, school board trustee Virginia Alvarez, assistant superintendent John Becchio, and director of student and family services John Schettle.

Graduates from San Marcos High School, Santa Barbara High School, La Cuesta Continuation School and Alta Vista High School also celebrated with ceremonies this week.
The ceremonies featured more than 1,500 students graduating from Santa Barbara Unified School District.
