The Downtown Santa Barbara Organization will wrap up its four-week Sizzling Salsa Nights series with a free event, 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 on the State Street Promenade in front of Elena’s Kitchen, 738 State St.

Free Cuban salsa lessons will be led by Alfonso Sandoval, 5-6 p.m., with free dance and performances, 6-8 p.m. So far, there have been about 50 participants per week.

Food and drink specials are offered throughout the evening, provided by event sponsor Elena’s Kitchen.

During October, the Downtown Santa Barbara Organization will offer a line dancing-themed series on Wednesdays, starting 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 4 in front of Night Lizard Brewery, 607 State St.
