Community members are invited to learn about the world of Santa Barbara wine country at Ritz-Carlton Bacara, 8301 Hollister Ave., Santa Barbara.

Jamie Knee, a local sommelier, wine educator and international wine judge, will conduct the Santa Barbara AVA Wine Country education and tastings, 4-6 p.m. Aug. 5 and Aug. 19, and continuing every other Saturday throughout the summer.

Participants will explore the diverse range of grapes grown in the local wine region, taste wines, and learn about the Santa Maria Valley and Santa Ynez Valley.
