Got a lamp that flickers, a jacket with a busted zipper, or a bike that’s seen better days?
Bring it to Repair Cafe Santa Barbara, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov.14 at the Community Environmental Council’s (CEC) Environmental Hub, 1219 State St.
The community-powered fix-it fair is free to attend.
Participants can bring up to two items, such as clothing, electronics, bikes, furniture, toys, small appliances, or knives for sharpening.
“You’ll work side-by-side with a skilled volunteer who will assess your item, guide you through the repair, and share practical skills you can use at home. Come prepared to roll your sleeves up and take part in the repair process,” organizers said.
Repair Cafe is co-hosted by the CEC as part of A Year of Active Hope. The event is designed to bring neighbors together, promote a more circular economy, and inspire residents to take action for a cleaner future.
