The Santa Barbara Gay Men’s Chorus invites audiences to its 2026 spring concert titled CLOCKED, 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 at the Lobero Theatre.
“CLOCKED is a vibrant and deeply moving musical journey through time; its passage, its poignancy, and its power to shape our lives,” organizers said.
“Through an eclectic program of beloved songs spanning generations, the concert reflects on the universal experience of time while honoring its particular resonance within the LGBTQ+ community,” they said.
“This season is about joy. It’s about being together, using music to restore sanity, humanity and connection,” said Timothy Accurso, artistic director. “Time is at the heart of everything we do as a chorus. We rehearse together, we grow together, we show up for each other week after week.
“CLOCKED is our celebration of what that time means, and I want this to be the space our community looks forward to coming to every week.”
Audiences can expect to hear iconic songs that have defined cultural moments and personal milestones alike, from “Nine to Five” to “Landslide,”“The Times They Are a-Changin’,” and “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.”
Each piece weaves together themes of memory, change, resilience and celebration.
“For a community that has long fought for the right to exist, thrive, and grow older on its own terms, CLOCKED offers both reflection and joy, a tribute to time’s challenges and its gifts,” organizers said.
