A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting that occurred earlier this week, Lompoc police said Friday.
At approximately noon Wednesday, police responded to the area of North Q Street and West Apple Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Officers quickly detained one adult and two juveniles who matched the descriptions given by witnesses.
The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old male, was located Thursday and taken into custody, police said.
Officers also found two firearms and ammunition, and believe one of the weapons had been used in the shooting.
The 17-year-old boy, whose name wasn’t released due to his age, also is an active gang member, police said.
Detectives determined the shooting targeted a rival gang member.
Several bullets struck a residence and went through an interior wall, where they nearly hit an elderly woman asleep inside the home.
No one was injured in the shooting.
The lone adult in the case, Juan Duarte, 18, has been charged in Santa Barbara County Superior Court with assault with a firearm and shooting at an inhabited residence, along with a gang enhancement.
