Hundreds of volunteers will get together on Oct. 19 for Looking Good Santa Barbara’s 16th Annual Community Clean-Up Day. The event, which runs 9 a.m.-noon, is designed to transform Santa Barbara neighborhoods on the city’s East and West sides. Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of projects including litter pick-up, graffiti removal, and park beautification projects.
Students who participate can earn community service hours. Individuals, families and groups wishing to help out can sign up on the day of the event. Locations are:
East Side: Eastside Park, 198 N. Soledad St.
West Side: Parque de los Ninos, 550 Wentworth Ave.
