Everywhere you look in Goleta, there are people stepping up to help others and coming up with creative ways to stay positive, sane and entertained during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city wants to know how the Goleta community is getting through the crisis, and is asking residents to share their #GoodLandGoodPeople images. The city is looking for three types of photos:

» Creative or simple ways you and your family are working/schooling/playing/staying busy during the stay-at-home order.
» People in the Goleta community to whom the city can pay tribute for helping others during this time. This includes medical professionals, grocery store workers, first responders, and others.
» Uplifting images from the local community that will make people smile.

To participate, email your photo and a brief description/caption to PIO@CityofGoleta.org. Follow the city on Facebook (@CityofGoleta), Twitter (@GoletaPIO), and Instagram (@CityofGoleta) to see what photos are being shared.

“Now more than ever, we need positive connections to each other,” said Goleta Mayor Paula Perotte. “The #GoodLandGood People photo campaign is an excellent way for us to celebrate all the good that is going on in our community during this most difficult chapter. “I can’t wait to see all the good photos on Goleta’s social media.”

To share the photos on social media, use the hashtag #GoodLandGoodPeople.
