In my opinion, the “No Kings” rallies taking place everywhere these days have simply become an opportunity to vent here in America.
Apparently, billions of dollars have been doled out to participants without much instruction other than show up with a personal grievance against President Donald Trump’s administration.
I have no grievance nor do I have any need for a worldly king to lead the greatest example of a democratic republic ever witnessed.
The American Experiment is well documented early on in French nobleman Alexis de Toqueville’s two volume literary work, Democracy in America.
Certainly, there’s no room for a king in our well-established government. It has been built on Judeo-Christian principles that have been tested over the past 250 years.
And, a movement to present already disproven Communist principles that have failed again and again will not prevail.
Let me tell you where my family places its trust, from Psalm 20:7: “Some trust in horses and some in chariots, but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God.”
The United States was founded on the desire to never have to bow down and obey the whims of another monarch.
Our Constitution has set up a form of government that separates power between three distinct branches of government. The Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches must share responsibility for our more perfect union.
As a people, we are intimately involved in the process of electing responsible members of Congress and a president and vice president to oversee the administrative affairs of our nation.
So, the sooner we get over this “No Kings” nonsense and place our trust in God and our chosen leaders, the better off we’ll be. We must remember who is really in charge.
In Revelation 17:14, we are presented with the Apostle John’s proclamation of the ultimate victory of the Lamb of God: “They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings — and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
As followers of Christ Jesus, we will certainly face many trials in this world. But we know that Jesus has overcome the enemy.
Are you on the winning team? If not, it’s not too late to join us as we look forward to the Lord’s imminent return!
Let me share what you must do to join this winning team:
- Admit your sinful nature and repent of those sins you have committed.
- Accept Christ Jesus’s work on the cross. After all, He died, was buried, raised from the dead, and resurrected for your sake.
Accept His wonderful gift!
