Jim Stollberg of Santa Maria has been appointed to the Community Bancorp and Community Bank of Santa Maria Boards of Directors, Janet Silveria, president/CEO, has announced.

“We are very pleased that Mr. Stollberg has agreed to join our boards,” Silveria said. “As a local resident and businessman, he is the ideal fit for our style of banking. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and embodies our community bank philosophies.”

“I’m thrilled about this chance to grow my relationship with the bank. Being on the board of a community bank is an incredible honor,” Stollberg said. “I can’t wait to tackle the challenges this new opportunity brings.”

Stollberg was raised in Santa Maria, and after graduating from St. Joseph High School went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in crop science and management from UC Davis.

Pursuing his concentration in Viticulture at UC Davis, he worked in Paso Robles, Lodi, and Sonoma County, finally returning to Santa Maria to start his career with Hampton Farming Company in 2000.

During this time, he received his Pest Control Advisor License and was a graduate of Class 35 in the California Agricultural Leadership Program.

Stollberg started his own management company Maverick Farming Company in 2006, became a partner in Hampton Farming Company in 2011, and started a Farm Labor Contracting company, Growers Ag Labor, in 2016.

In 2017, he purchased a vineyard in Paso Robles and earned his Real Estate Salesperson License in 2025 working with Rincon Corporation. Stollberg has served on and currently serves on various industry and nonprofit boards.
 
He joins Community Bancorp Board directors Guadalupe Alvarez, Johannah Bradley, Karen Fothergill, Claudia Freitas, John P. Lizarraga Jr., Dr. Michael Moats, and Silveria.

Community Bancorp of Santa Maria is the single bank holding company of Community Bank of Santa Maria, which opened for business on March 1, 2001, and presently employs some 60 people.
