The largest network of Latino philanthropists in the U.S., the Latino Giving Circle Network (LGCN), is expanding into Santa Barbara. LGCN invests in Latino nonprofits making tangible impacts in local communities.
The launch of the Santa Barbara Latino Giving Circle will take place 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at La Playa Azul, 914 Santa Barbara St., Latino Community Foundation, Arcelia Sencion, Guille Gil-Reynoso and Teresa Segovia have announced.
From baby boomers to millennials, CEOs to emerging professionals, immigrants to U.S.-born Latinos and non-Latinos, Giving Circle members are united by a shared sense of justice and generosity.
Latino Community Foundation works with the 22 Giving Circles in the network to impact the community by investing in grassroots Latino-led nonprofits. The network is a community of changemakers who are paying it forward and taking civic action. To date, it has given out $1 million across 75 Latino-led nonprofits in California.
Community members are invited to join the movement that is reclaiming philanthropy and inspiring Latinos to own their rich, philanthropic culture.
