To increase awareness of services and programs available in Lompoc, the Lompoc Public Library will present a program called Engage!, in which speakers from a variety of organizations will offer information relevant to Lompoc residents.
The first Engage! program will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in the Lompoc Public Library’s Grossman Gallery. It will cover services offered in Lompoc at the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center.
Laura A. Navarrete, community outreach presenter for the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center, will discuss the center’s services.
The second Engage! event will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, also in the library’s Grossman Gallery. Celest Mendoza, mission service supervisor of Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, will talk about Goodwill’s youth job training programs available in Lompoc and in the surrounding areas, as well as share youth success stories.
Engage! will be offered on an intermittent basis. For more on the speaker program, email Rachell Frazian at the Lompoc Public Library: r_frazian@ci.lompoc.ca.us.
