MOVE Santa Barbara County is again joining the city of Goleta to promote safe and responsible e-bike riding during Goleta’s E-Bike Safety Awareness Week, Jan. 19-25.

Throughout the week, MOVE and community partners will visit local schools to engage students in traffic safety education, e-bike handling skills, and conversations about their real-world riding experiences.

Highlighting the week will be a free E-Bike Skills Class & Group Ride, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Goleta Valley Junior High, 6100 Stow Canyon Road.

The class and ride are open to anyone, ages 10 and older, who is new to e-biking or looking to build confidence.

MOVE instructors will cover:
• Pre-ride safety checks
• Hands-on skills practice
• A guided neighborhood group ride

Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring a fully charged e-bike and wear a helmet.
