The Santa Barbara Winter Junior Tennis Championships took place over the weekend, with 111 players competing from all across California, including 35 from the Santa Barbara area.

Plenty of local talent found success in the tournament, which was hosted by the Santa Barbara Tennis Patrons and took place at the Municipal Tennis Center, Santa Barbara High and Pershing Park.

In the girls 18 doubles bracket, the championship matchup was a showdown of Santa Barbara High sisters, as Caitlyn Buist took on her sister Nicole.

Caitlyn was paired up with Camarillo’s Amber Koh and Nicole took the court with Amelia Taylor-Hall of San Luis Obispo. Nicole Buist and Taylor-Hall came away with the title match victory.
