In recognition of America’s upcoming 250th birthday, the Lompoc Beautification & Appearance Commission will hold a Business Window Decoration Contest.

Businesses are encouraged to showcase their artistic creativity in relation to this year’s theme Celebrating America’s 250th.

All nominations must be submitted by Monday, June 22. Judging is set to take place Monday, June 29. Best overall, first, second and third place awards will be chosen.

Windows will be judged on visual appeal, imagination, artistic impact, and relation to the theme. Only windows that can be seen while in a vehicle from the street will be considered.

Winners are expected to be announced July 1.
