The Lompoc Solid Waste & Urban Forestry divisions invite members of the community to an Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 18 at the City’s Corporate Yard, 1300 W. Laurel Ave.
The event will include plants, prizes, and an opportunity to learn more about the Beautification and Appearance Commission. The Lompoc Beautification and Appearance Commission will have a table at the event.
From 10 a.m.-noon, Lompoc residents can pick up mulch, compost and other materials for free at the Corporate Yard.
Residents are asked to please bring their own containers and tools for collection. Each household may collect up to five containers.
