Hundreds of community members and representatives from local organizations gathered at Dick Dewees Community & Senior Center Aug. 25 to celebrate the recipients of Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau 2023 Annual Awards, presented to individuals who support and inspire the Lompoc Valley.

The winners are:

2023 Woman of the Year: Shelby Wild Brown of Route 1 Farmers Market
 
2023 Man of the Year: Lester Evans of Meals on Wheels

2023 Small Business Excellence Award: Antonio Rodriguez of Floriano’s Mexican Restaurant

2023 New Business Award: Monty Montgomery of PCH Street Wine Bar & Salon

2023 Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Oscar Diaz of Community Bank of Santa Maria

“Every year we get a chance to highlight the greatness within the Lompoc community that happens daily through these amazing individuals,” said De’Vika Stalling, Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO. “These folks represent the unique and diverse fabric of our community, and collectively have a hand in making the Lompoc Valley a better place for all.”

The evening included a silent auction; entertainment provided by Kaitlyn Chui; and a full-course meal catered by Savory & Sweet Eats.
