Lompoc Valley Middle School is celebrating another achievement as students in the Introduction to Graphic Design classes swept the 2026 city of Lompoc Utility Department Conservation Calendar Contest.
“This marks yet another year of extraordinary artistic accomplishment from LVMS students whose creativity, skill, and dedication continue to shine across the community,” the district said.
Fifteen students were recognized for their outstanding artwork, including two who were awarded the front and back cover placements: Marcus Cenzial, grade 8 (front cover), and Daniela Dorado, grade 8 (back cover).
Other student winners: Alex Doan, Mateo Torres-Rodriguez, Mia Hernandez, Jayden Camacho, Sophia Smith, Oscar Avila, Deyon Espana, Josbaldo Angel, Kya Garcia , Oscar Cisneros, Scarlett Nunez-Villanueva, and Brenna Largent.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and their remarkable artwork,” said LVMS Principal Eva Luna. “Their creativity and technical skill continue to elevate the program and inspire younger students to explore digital art and design.”
Teachers and staff thanked Lompoc Utility Conservation coordinator Rodney Loehr, whose ongoing partnership gives students a meaningful opportunity to share their work with the broader community, they said.
“It’s a pleasure working with Mr. Loehr,” said instructor Peggy Andrews. “His support allows our students to experience the pride that comes with contributing to a citywide project.”
The 2026 Lompoc Conservation Calendar will be released before the winter break and available for free in the LVMS front office. Copies will also be distributed throughout the city for community members to enjoy.
