Lompoc Unified School District’s Brian Jaramillo has been honored as the Outstanding Special Education Administrator of the Year for Region 13 by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA).

As the honoree for Region 13, which covers Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties, Jaramillo is now in the running for the title of State Special Education Administrator of the Year.

Jaramillo is the executive director for Lompoc Unified School District. He oversees the Special Education Department, as well as Pupil Support Services and the Information Technology (IT) Department.

“Mr. Jaramillo approaches special education with a lens for equity. He works tirelessly to ensure our special education students receive a robust education and continue to have access to quality electives and extra-curricular opportunities,” said Superintendent Trevor McDonald.
