This week’s Science Friday at the Lompoc Public Library features a game design program, as well as a visit from a NASA engineer, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Grossman Gallery.

NASA senior launch site integration manager Julie Schneringer, who lives in the area, will be speaking to attendees of Game Design Science.

The event for students in 4th through 8th grades is free to attend, and will involve discussion on the mechanics of games and collaboration to make a game. There is no need to RSVP.

In addition to speaking to attendees and being available for questions, Schneringer will be bringing to the event a special series of Peanuts Snoopy books focused on space.
