Applications are now open to join the Leadership Lompoc Valley (LLV) class of 2023. Deadline to apply is Thursday Dec. 1.
For some 36 years, current and future Lompoc leaders have participated in the program to cultivate their leadership skills in relation to the Lompoc community. Participants explore Lompoc and network with local leaders through a series of hands-on topics days between January and June, covering such areas as: public safety, local government, media and communications, education, business, military and aerospace.
Topic days include guest speakers, expert panels, and tours of local businesses and agencies.
The program opens Jan. 20-21 with a two-day retreat designed to introduce participants to the program and the general concept of leadership. It will be capped off with an orientation banquet with participant’s guests, LLV Board members, and LLV alumni.
To apply, download an application at https://www.lompoc.com/llv.html and submit it to the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce. Participants are selected by the LLV Board of Trustees based on their commitment and interest in the community, as well as their interest in developing their leadership skills.
The tuition fee of $700 covers all program costs and meals. Employers may sponsor the cost, and partial sponsorships are available for those requiring financial assistance.
LLV is part of the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Bureau. The Lompoc Chamber has supported the economic and socioeconomic growth and wellbeing of the community for more than a century. The chamber is a 501(c)6 nonprofit association of some 300 local businesses, organizations and individuals.
