Los Padres ForestWatch’s inaugural Wilderness Table event will be held at Groundstar Vineyards, 3 p.m. May 4.
Inspired by the spirit of community and conservation, The Wilderness Table is an event series that invites guests on a culinary journey experiencing local flavors and sustainable practices in an outdoor setting.
The event will raise funds to support ForestWatch’s work to protect public lands and wildlife along California’s Central Coast.
Guests will have craft cocktails by Rock 12 Distillery, followed a vineyard tour with Chiara Shannon, wine industry expert and owner of Groundstar Vineyard, then enjoy a meal prepared by Chef Jake O. Francis, complimented with local, sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines.
Proceeds from the event benefit local nonprofit Los Padres ForestWatch.
ForestWatch works to protect wildlife, wilderness, water, and sustainable access throughout Los Padres National Forest and the Carrizo Plain National Monument.
ForestWatch does so through education, advocacy, and when necessary, legal action for the benefit of our communities, climate, and future generations. To learn more about the group’s work visit lpfw.org.
Tickets for the Wilderness Table at Groundstar Vineyards are $500. Reservations may be made at lpfw.org/wildernesstable or contact Krista, 805-770-8696.
