As the Central Coast shifts into summer, Los Padres ForestWatch invites the community to gather for an evening of food, wine and conservation, 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at Larner Vineyard, 955 Ballard Canyon Road, Solvang.

The open-air, multi-course dinner brings together local producers, conservationists, and community members for a shared experience rooted in place, organizers said.

Attendees will enjoy handcrafted welcome cocktails from Rock 12 Distillery, a family-owned, farm-to-glass producer based in the Santa Rita Hills. Cocktails will be followed by an elegant, locally inspired meal by High on the Hog and Chef Brett Stephen, known for showcasing the region’s seasonal bounty.

Each course will be paired with wines from Larner Vineyard & Winery, a family-owned estate.

The evening includes a guided tour of Larner Vineyard’s 34 acres of organically grown grapevines, offering a firsthand look at the care and stewardship behind the land.

“This evening is about more than great food and win,” said Michael Larner of Larner Vineyard & Winery. “As farmers and winemakers, our work is inseparable from the land.

“The integrity of this region — from its soils and climate to the surrounding natural lands — defines everything we do. Protecting these native landscapes ensures that future generations can continue to farm, gather, and experience this place in a meaningful way.”

“The event highlights the power of shared experiences to inspire giving, bringing people together around a shared table to deepen their connection to place, while leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of ForestWatch’s work to protect public lands, clean water, wildlife habitat, and sustainable access to the outdoors across California’s Central Coast,” event organizers said.

“It’s about connection,” said Jeff Kuyper, executive director at Los Padres ForestWatch. “Experiences like this remind us that the landscapes we’re working to protect are not abstract; they’re where our food is grown, where our communities gather, and where we find meaning and belonging.”
