Community members are invited to Santa Barbara Junior High School’s (SBJH) first Lowrider Car Show, sponsored by SBJH and Nite Life car club, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 5 at 721 E. Cota St.

In addition to the cars, highlighting the day will be a screening of the documentary “American Homeboy,” noon-1:30 p.m. in the Marjorie Luke Theatre at SBJH. The director will be on hand for a Q&A following the film.

It will also feature local vendors, folklorico, and face painting.

The event is free to attend, but there is a $20 entry fee per car. Registration can be done at the show.
