Sunrise Chiropractic (formerly Macy Chiropractic) unveiled its new identity during a recent grand re-opening celebration at its 3324 State St. office in Santa Barbara.

Dr. Julie Soloduka, who took over ownership one year ago from Drs. Michael and Ann Macy, welcomed existing patients, friends, family, and members of the healthcare community to join in the festivities.

“As proud as we were to operate under the Macy name, it’s time we unveil our new name, Sunrise Chiropractic,” Soloduka said. “I’m so grateful for all of you because, of course, without you, I would not be here.

“I’m so happy to be able to take care of you; this is my purpose and my passion in life, and I’m just so happy to be here.”

She said she chose the name Sunrise Chiropractic to pay homage to Santa Barbara’s sunny weather, and to reflect the metaphor that every day is a fresh opportunity to live the healthiest version of yourself.

In her practice, Soloduka said she focuses on creating a warm and compassionate healing environment, free of judgment.

Soloduka is a third-generation chiropractor, following in the footsteps of both her parents and grandparents. The Macy family operated their practice in the same location for some 30 years.

“It’s an honor to be able to continue the legacy of this practice,” Soloduka said. “I’m truly privileged to be able to continue the care of our current patients, and I’m excited to welcome new patients into the practice as we grow the Sunrise family.”

The celebration included a raffle that raised some $400 that will benefit Heal the Ocean, a Santa Barbara group focused on ocean cleanliness and health.
