Lobero Theatre Foundation will present Melissa Etheridge: The Rise Tour 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. The Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning artist will perform stripped-down versions of her greatest hits on guitar, harmonica and piano.

Celebrating the release of her 17th album “Rise” on Sun Records, Etheridge will include a number of her new songs during the performance.

“Rise” is co-produced by Etheridge and Shooter Jennings (whose production credits include Brandi Carlisle, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Crockett, and his father Waylon Jennings).

Features her band of guitarist and keyboard player Max Hart, drummer Eric Gardner and bassist Erik Kertes, “Rise” soars as an intimate and richly realized collection, organizers said.

The album moves between celebratory rockers, playful honky-tonk and deeply personal songs about love, family, loss, resilience and gratitude.

“Featuring collaborations with Chris Stapleton, ‘Rise’ captures Etheridge reflecting on the experiences that have shaped her while embracing the strength, hope, and joy of moving forward,” according to the Lobero Theatre Foundation.
