The Santa Barbara and Ventura-based accounting firm Nasif, Hicks, Harris & Co. LLP has named Mitchell “Mitch” Thomas, a certified public accountant, as a new audit partner effective Jan. 1.
A practicing public accountant since 2012, Thomas joined Nasif, Hicks, Harris & Co. in June 2017. His practice focuses on audit and assurance services.
Thomas has experience providing compilation, review, and audit engagements to clients including start-ups, construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits.
As audit partner, Thomas will play a key role in helping shape the firm’s growing audit practice.
Thomas graduated from California State University Northridge in 2008, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in finance. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Nasif, Hicks, Harris & Co. was founded by Bill Nasif in 1976. The firm has about 80 employees and 11 partners who provide public accounting services including preparation of individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns, financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, business consulting, trust and court accounting, general bookkeeping and software consulting.
