The Granada Theatre has added Morgan Bennett and Robert Montgomery to its Board of Directors.
Their appointments, bring additional expertise in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, law and business to support the theater and its ongoing service to the Santa Barbara region, Granada officials said.
“We are delighted to welcome Bob Montgomery and Morgan Bennett to The Granada Board,” said Palmer Jackson, Jr., executive chair/CEO of The Granada Theatre.
“Both bring remarkable experience and a genuine love for the arts and this community,” he said. “We look forward to working with them to continue bringing world-class performances to the Santa Barbara region.”

Montgomery spent some 40 years with international law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he headed the Business & Finance Practice Group for the final 15 years of his career.
He also served as senior vice president of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, helping plan and conduct the 1984 Olympic Games.
His nonprofit involvement includes serving as board chair of CAMA for eight years, and on the boards of the United Way of Santa Barbara and Duke University School of Law.
Bennett has some 20 years of nonprofit and philanthropic experience. She currently works as an advisor for arts and family philanthropy at SoCal Grantmakers.
Bennett also serves alongside her parents as a trustee of the Schiele Family Foundation; is a member of The Foundation Roundtable; and is on the California Nature Art Museum Board.
“The performing arts have been my lifelong companion, serving as a teacher of ideas and cultures, a celebration of the human experience, and a lifeline through challenges,” said Bennett.
“I feel it’s both my responsibility and privilege to help others experience the transformative power of performing arts. There’s no better venue to do so than The Granada,” she said.
