
MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation has announced updates to its leadership team and Board of Directors.
On the Board of Directors, Kelly Almeroth is starting her first term as chair; Austin Lampson as vice chair; Angela Krablin, treasurer; and Casey Summar, secretary.
Angie McGrath and Kate Shrout are joining MOXI’s Board of Directors this year.
Also on the executive committee are Andy Winchester, Graham Bell, and Donna Barranco Fisher.
Jen Norling, the new director of Annual Giving, joined MOXI in December. Originally from Massachusetts, she brings nonprofit fundraising experience from her work in Boston, Massachusetts, and Seattle, Washington.


Norling began her career in development working for the Boston Ballet and Emerson College, and helped start grassroots nonprofit Water1st International, serving as director of development and communications funding clean water projects for communities in Africa, Asia, and Central America.
She worked for the Northwest African American Museum as director of development, promoting Black history, arts and culture. She and her family moved to Santa Barbara in 2022.
“Jen’s appointment represents an exciting step forward for MOXI,” said Robin Gose, president/CEO. “Her extensive fundraising experience and genuine passion for our mission will be instrumental in expanding our impact throughout the Santa Barbara community.”
Board member McGrath is a fundraising consultant with some 20 years of experience helping charitable and corporate organizations grow and diversify their revenue streams.
Before starting her own firm, she directed the development and marketing efforts for multiple high-impact nonprofits in Chicago. Her clients include social change agents focused on hunger relief, youth empowerment, violence prevention, teen pregnancy support, mental health, and early childhood development.
McGrath graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Michigan and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
She is a trustee of The Riviera Ridge School, a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a past board member of Options for Youth. McGrath moved to Santa Barbara from Chicago in 2021.
“MOXI addresses a critical need in the Santa Barbara community by providing high-quality, STEAM-based learning experiences for children of all backgrounds,” McGrath said. “By weaving together play, education, and community engagement, MOXI inspires the next generation to become lifelong learners and leaders.”
Shrout attended Vanderbilt University and Duke Law School. She is the deputy chief ethics and compliance officer for Synopsys, a publicly traded software company in the semiconductor industry.
Passionate about mission-driven volunteer work and board service, Shrout has volunteered with Make-A-Wish for some 15 years in the Bay Area and Washington, D.C.; and served as board chair on the Make-A-Wish San Francisco Bay Area Board of Directors.
“Our new board members bring valuable expertise and passionate commitment to MOXI’s mission,” said Gose. “Their diverse perspectives and experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our innovative STEAM learning experiences for Santa Barbara’s children and families.”
