The Community Environmental Council (CEC) will present an evening with climate expert and national security advisor Sherri Goodman, 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the CEC Environmental Hub, 1219 State St., Santa Barbara.

The event is hosted by the CEC, the 2035 Initiative at UC Santa Barbara, and the city of Santa Barbara Sustainability & Resiliency Department and moderated by Leah Stokes.

The conversation with Goodman will focus on climate change and national security: how military leaders’ thinking has evolved, what contingency plans they have, and where they see conflict coming next.

Goodman’s new book “Threat Multiplier,” detailing the inside story of the military’s fight for global security, will be available for purchase.
