Explore Ecology is calling for nominations for the 5th Annual Explore Ecology Awards honoring teachers, students, and classes or clubs in Santa Barbara County.

If you know someone who takes care of nature and has a positive impact in a school or classroom, you can celebrate their efforts by nominating them for an Explore Ecology Award.

There are three award categories:
• Teacher or School Staff Award: Recognizing educators who inspire environmental awareness and action. Two awards for grades K-6 and 7-12.
• Class or Club Award: Honoring a class or school club making a positive impact on the environment. Open to grades K-12.
• Student Award: Celebrating students committed to caring for the environment. Two awards for grades K-6 and 7-12.

Winners will be honored at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival on April 28.
