Noon Concerts at Trinity Santa Barbara will present Handel – Eternal Light, 12:15-12:45 p.m. Friday, May 17 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1500 State St., Santa Barbara.
The 30-minute concert will be performed by Melissa Givens, soprano; Stephen Hammer, baroque oboe; Kenneth Munday, baroque bassoon; and Thomas Joyce, harpsichord and organ.
Handel – Eternal Light will include authentic baroque instruments with soprano, organ and harpsichord. Selections will include “The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” from “Solomon;” “Eternal Source of Light Divine” from “Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne;” Trio sonata for oboe, bassoon, and continuo; and “Mi palpita il cor” (“My Heart Trembles”).
Noon Concerts at Trinity Santa Barbara offer a variety of musical styles – jazz, classical, Broadway, popular music.
Admission is free, but goodwill tax-deductible donations of a suggested $10 are accepted at the door.
